Mark Deutsch Fine Art Announces Art Exhibition at Ritz-Carlton, Westchester

White Plains, New York – January 10, 2025 – Mark Deutsch Fine Art is pleased to announce a museum-quality art exhibition at the corporate offices of the Cappelli Organization and Deutsch Capital LLC.  Both firms have offices located on the top two floors of Tower II at Ritz-Carlton Residences, Westchester.  The Ritz-Carlton complex consists of two 42-story condominium residences and a five-star, 10-story hotel, which is part of the J.W. Marriott Autograph Collection.  The Ritz-Carlton complex was developed and constructed by the Cappelli Organization.

The installation features 46 paintings and works on paper from the collection of Mark Deutsch Fine Art. These works are by 21 internationally renowned artists – Sam Francis, Robert Motherwell, Helen Frankenthaler, Adolph Gottlieb, Kenneth Noland, Frank Bowling, Jim Dine, Michael Goldberg, Joan Mitchell, Larry Poons, Frank Stella, Friedel Dzubas, Emily Mason, Kikuo Saito, Jules Olitski, Cleve Gray, Emily Mason, Vivian Springford, Howard Mehring, John Little, and Hajime Kato.

The installation was curated by Dakota Sica, owner of the Leslie Feely Gallery, and a leading connoisseur of Post-War art.  This is the second collaboration between Mark Deutsch Fine Art and Dakota Sica and comes on the heels of a yearlong exhibition held at Tower 49 in New York City.

“Over the past six years, art has gone from a hobby to a passion, and my desire to acquire important works by historically significant artists keeps growing.  I was very fortunate to have met Dakota Sica, a long-time art expert, advisor and collector in the fine art field, six years ago. Dakota has been critical to educating me on these artists and helping me acquire many of my paintings,” said Mark Deutsch.

“I have had a front row seat to watch Mark Deutsch build an impressive collection of museum-quality abstract expressionist and color field paintings from a broad range of critical Post-War artists.  Furthermore, he has one of the most extensive and important private collections of Friedel Dzubas and Kikuo Saito in the country, and, likely, the world.  It has been an honor and privilege to see this massive collection expand, distill, and refine,” said Dakota Sica.

Exhibition Essay by Curator Dakota Sica

There are collectors who buy paintings only to fill the walls in their homes.  There are others who surpass the confines of their walls and have a few works that end up in storage.  And then there is an even rarer breed – a collector whose vision and passion are unabated by wall space or the size of their storage units.  This type of collector is Mark Deutsch – whose singular goal is to acquire the greatest works by the most important artists and share those works with others to enjoy.

At Tower II of the Ritz-Carlton complex in White Plains, NewYork, Mark Deutsch Fine Art is pleased to present a comprehensive and in-depth collection of works by the leading artists of the post war period.  This group comprised with over 40 museum-quality paintings feature titans of Art History.

The collection begins by highlighting the abstract expressionist movement in New York through gestural examples by Adolph Gottlieb, Sam Francis, Joan Mitchell, and Robert Motherwell.  As you traverse the top two floors of Tower II, you journey through time and history into the Color Field movement, highlighted by stunning examples from Helen Frankenthaler, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, and Friedel Dzubas to name a few.

This abstract lineage is continued with contemporaries like Frank Stella, Kikuo Saito, and Emily Mason. These impressive works showcase the rich cross pollination all the way to present-day paintings of living greats such as Jim Dine and Larry Poons. These impressive works showcase the rich cross pollination and generational relationships between these artists.  The collection of Mark Deutsch is unlike any other, unmatched not only in quality but also in depth.
